Description:

We still have great deals of openings for bow hunting plans for the 2014 Season. We are a 40+ acre Farm found in the heart of the Northwestern Michigan fruit belt. Rates are $120 day for group of approximately 3 Hunters. Each added Hunter (up to 3 even more for a total of 6) will be charged $20 each daily. I would only suggest 6 hunters if you hunt in groups of 2 or 3. No additional cost for non hunters however cabin is restricted to 6 people overall. We do have a camper available for $40 per night or $240 per week which can sleep 3-4. You are not paying for the deer themselves. You are paying for the lodging, services, and right to hunt our home. You might use up to 2 deer per hunter based on what licenses you could have. You need to follow all DNR policies. We do not guarantee you will certainly take or even see deer, it is hunting and as such unpredictable. Prices include everything noted below. Our home includes 30 acres of hay surrounded by 10+ acres of woodlots on 3 sides. We have food plots purposefully placed along the borders of the woods to provide maximum chance at getting the deer into position for hunters to take them. We have wild apple trees, a pond, our own orchards, and are surrounded by fruit orchards and cornfields. We have tried to set it up to give easy access and great chance for children, individuals who cannot walk miles into the woods, or those who simply do not have time to search, etc. The deer are wild however because of our location and the amount of food offered to them, we have heaps of them. We really have some VERY nice sized bucks for this far north. See the trail camera photos below to see the number of nice ones were playing together one night last September. The little dollar looking right at the video camera was a couple of nights prior to the Saturday night fights the electronic camera captured with at least 6 dollars of which 3 or 4 would be really nice ones even down south. Lodging: "The Bears Den" A very comfortable recently upgraded 1 bed room home on the farm. It has a queen bed, an extremely comfy complete size futon, (and we can offer other mattresses or a nice heated camper for additional sleepers.) It has a full kitchen with full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, dishes, utensils and cookware. A 52" TELEVISION with complete DISH Network lineup, DVD gamer, an electrical fireplace, a bumper pool/poker table, clean bathroom with huge shower, gas grill. fire-pit, and outdoor table/chairs. We will certainly supply you with a couple of dozen farm fresh eggs, fresh apples, and perhaps a few of the other produce we may still have growing. Linens, blankets, and towels will certainly be provided but you may want to bring a couple of additional towels and sleeping bags for a huge crowd. If needed, this is not a house cleaning plan however we can clean a load of towels or your favorite socks for you. The hunt: You provide your own tree stands or use our heated ground blinds. There will be mineral blocks near to our blinds and food plots. We will certainly have a "dollar pole" and you will be able to hang your deer in the barn to keep it out of the elements if you want. We will certainly likewise supply a food sealer (bags additional) and freezer area if you desire to butcher on website. We also have great deals of turkey, grouse, woodcock, and coyotes and will certainly permit you to hunt them likewise if you have a license. You supply: your license(s), bows/crossbows, food (other than for the rewards provided above), a few extra towels and a couple sleeping bags if you feature 6, fishing pole, shotguns, and your own tree blinds if so preferred. The Little Bear Casino is 15 minutes away, Frankfort 15 minutes, Sleeping Bear Dunes 35 minutes, Manistee 20 minutes, Onekama and the famous Portage lake 7 minutes, Arcadia 3 minutes, Bear Lake 5 minutes, and Traverse City 50 minutes. Lake Michigan is one mile away and depending on the weather you still could have the ability to enter a swim. The fall colors here are magnificent as we are controlled by beech/maple forests so a drive in the hills along M-22 is a fantastic side trip.
