We have actually stayed in Newport on lots of occasion, however had not ventured to rent on Balboa Island. Wow, what a fun week! The owners were warm hearted, fun, and really valuable. We invested our mornings shell hunting a few minutes away on the beach in Corona Del Mar, and several afternoons and early nights with our kids outside of the home on the most comfortable terrace under an umbrella drinking mimosa's and/or cold beers. The kids were able to frolic in the water, while we unwinded and enjoyed them laugh and have a good time. It was hard to motivate from this point on; however, being just a couple of steps from Marine opportunity was fantastic for shopping and dining. I would extremely recommend chatting with the owners, they had several great dining recommendations, particularly for happy hour at some of the citizens favorite spots. Crystal Cove beach was a brief drive and was an enjoyable area to spend with boogie boards and sand toys. Thanks once again for making our remain on Balboa Island so remarkable!
