It is 20 minutes away from Boone, and is surrounded by the towns of Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Seven Devils and Hawk's Nest. There is a wide range restaurants and bars in town. And just a few minutes away there are ski resorts, golf clubs, hiking trails, campgrounds and other possibilities for outdoor fun.Bearfoot Cabin is a large 5 bedroom cabin with 3.5 bathrooms. You will have plenty of space in this 2400 sq. ft. cabin that sleeps 12.After a day of shopping, skiing, hiking, or site seeing, relax in the large and soothing hot tub located on the back deck for privacy!The modern kitchen is fully stocked for you to make a gourmet meal, including a food processor, blender, and all of the other common items you may find in a kitchen. There is seating for 6 at the dining room table and 4 bar stools at the bar for additional seating.The living room has a cozy wood burning fireplace to enjoy on those cold mountain winter nights. Enjoy your favorite show on the 40" flat screen TV.The queen size master suite is on the main level and it has it's own private full bathroom.There are 2 bedrooms upstairs. One bedroom has a set of bunkbeds and the other bedroom has a full bed and a twin bed.Enjoy a game of billards in the loft or sit down and play a competitive game of checkers.There is additonal sleeping in the basement with another queen size bedroom with a gas cozy gas fireplace. The fifth bedroom has a set of bunkbeds and another twin bed.Enjoy the warmer summer months out on one of two covered decks. The upper deck has several rocking chairs and a picnic table along with a gas grill. The lower deck has a table with 4 chairs.In the winter Banner Elk is where people come to choose and cut their own Christmas tree and ski, and in the summer it is a perfect place for a family getaway which can be quiet, peaceful, and relaxing or full of activity, fun, and adventure. Blue Ridge parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Linville Gorge are just a few of the scenic landmarks in the area. The attractions that are worth visiting are the Woolly Worm Festival that takes place in Banner Elk in October, and the summer theater, by the Lees-McRae College Performing Arts department.No matter what season you decide to travel to Banner Elk and the Blue Ridge Mountains there will be countless of outdoor adventures for you and your family to explore.
