This gentrifying urban stretch is peppered with a diverse mix of business and residences.Savvy urbanites will enjoy the privacy of this single studio while staying in St. Louis' arts and music community. Just minutes from bakeries, taco stands and mexican grocery stores, numerous concert venues, bars and eateries.This is a CITY studio, if you are uncomfortable in an urban environment or overly sensitive to unpredictable city life, please consider another location closer to St. Louis County.A compact kitchen allows for affordable eating with fridge storage, stove, four burners and a few pot and pan essentials. The bathroom is small but contains a full tub and shower, cabinets for storage and plenty of fresh towels.Here on Cherokee . . .Festivals occur several times a year, with them elaborate impromptu parades are not a surprise. A neighborhood exists of unparalleled diversity. On Cherokee the majority means those you see everyday. Our characters, leaders, rockers, workers, even slackers are fixtures in our daily landscape. Citizen's stroll, slick cars roll, accessories and flashy style note many of our locals as celebrities. Together we are a celebration of all walks of life and every art form.Previous reviews include :"The bed is comfortable, the fridge is new, working A/C and perfect plumbing. The decor of the apartment is both hip and sexy, perfectly represented in the photograph. The Cherokee neighborhood is currently being gentrified by hipsters, and this apartment is just up the street from some interesting spots; apop records, foam coffee, a few cool bars. The street also has an excellent selection of Mexican restaurants, super markets, and clothing shops. It shares a building with a barber shop--a lively hangout across the street from the bus stop. If you haven't got it by now, Cherokee is a mixed bag. People are polite, engaging, and many of them will be different from you. We were respectful, and as such never felt unsafe or sketched out. We were able to navigate a large portion of the city by bicycle from the apartment, and still had plenty of time to soak in the walkable hood. If you've compared your plans to the location and you find it suitable, I highly recommend this cute little joint.""We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this neat little studio apartment.
