While you're here, you can consider yourself tucsonans. It's located on a fenced 1 acre lot with abundant flora and fauna. You can walk out the back gate into tucson mountain park with 20,000 acres of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. You can view more info about both the property and tucson on our own site. (click on "elizabeth krehbiel" in blue over at the right then click on "company website" at the bottom of the owner information box on the left. Come back to flipkey for easy inquiries and booking or email directly.) the sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. This is a place where you can recharge your batteries as well as get a great physical workout. Tucson is a prime bird watching destination. Wildlife abounds. Bunnies are thick as thieves! We are located far enough from tucson proper to enjoy brilliant stargazing. Old tucson studios is a hike, bike ride, or horseback ride of 3 mis or so across the park.. You can get there easily by car, too, of course, and the sonoran desert museum and saguaro national park west are just a bit farther down the road. Downtown tucson is 15 mis away so it's about a 30 minute drive to theaters, the art museum, and various restaurants. The university district is a couple of miles further with many more of the same sorts of amenities. There is dining much closer than downtown, of course. This includes los nopales, a superior but unassuming mexican restaurant. The venerable tiny's saloon is just minutes away, too. A bit farther out, but well worth the drive, is fred's arena bar and steakhouse with mesquite pit, real cowboy bar, local color, and live music 2 saturdays a month. Getting back to the property itself, the two beds have queen beds and walk-in closets. 1 has a directly connected bath with dual sinks and a bathtub/shower combination. The other bathroom has 1 sink and a bathtub/shower combination. It's next to the 2nd bedroom and the study. The 3rd bedroom is more like a study or den. In fact on another vacation rental site, we have a "2 beds" listing. Flipkey recommends that any room with a piece of sleeping furniture be counted as a bedroom. This room in fact has a a twin-sized sofa bed and an inflatable twin mattress besides. It has a large closet, too, which makes it bedroom-like. A desk and printer are here along with a shelf-sized cd/fm stereo system (with ipod dock and a selection of cds). You can get a great look at this study/den/bedroom in our video and draw your own conclusions. There are a variety of books and dvds in the living room. The walls have lots of southwest-themed art and other artifacts. You'll see more of that in the video, too. Regarding technology, you'll have highspeed internet service from wi-power with speeds up to 1.5mbps. There's no landline phone service in the house. The flat screen hd digital television is hooked up to a digital antenna on the roof and gets all the local digital broadcast channels. A roku box is attached for streaming music and video. There's a video disc player and the discs previously mentioned. Red box is nearby at the circle k stores. About 10 mis down the road the corner of mission and ajo, you'll find a public library which has a (limited) borrowing program for visitors to the area. The kitchen is nicely laid out. The sink's on an island and there's plenty of counter space. All the major appliances are next to new. 1 end of the kitchen space has a good-sized dining table with 6 chairs. The kitchen is well-equipped and if you find you need something that's not right at hand, we're right next door. But the 1 acre lots mean you have plenty of your own space and privacy. "pet friendly" in our case should be translated as "dog friendly." cats aren't a good match with the local critters (like coyotes) and we've had a few inquiries from folks who have cat allergies so we don't normally welcome feline tenants. We have 3 horses at our place next door to you. If you'd care to, you can stop by and meet them. If you have horses to vacation with, we may be able to accommodate 1 or two. Contact us for info. When you take a look at our calendar for this season, you'll see that it is quite full. But there are a couple of prime weeks available. Next season (we rent from fall to spring) currently has just a few bookings but we expect more soon.

You'll have birds and bunnies for company, wonderful mountain views, amazing dark skies, desert flora (giant saguaro cacti, paddle cacti, other cacti, ocotillo, jumping cholla...which don't really jump but don't get too close, mesquite trees, palo verde trees, and more). You're just minutes from the arizona-sonora desert museum, old tucson studios, san xavier mission, saguaro national park west, and tucson trap & skeet club. You're a half hour from downtown tucson, mexico is about an hour and a half away, and it's a couple of hours to tombstone and the fabled ok corral. The house and property are about 40 minutes from tucson international airport.
