Some info :Cedar River is very clean river and fun to wade , swim and fish in. Bring some flotation devices and float the river . Bring water shoes because some parts of the river are rocky.As for fishing, Its right at your doorstep. The cottage has almost 400 ft of river frontage and a couple of nice bass holesA great day trip Munising Mich. You would want to be on the road by 7 or 8 am. Well worth it,.a boat tour of picture rocks, also a # of nice waterfalls you could hike to. Some are only 1/4 mile hike.Another nice day tripisTahquamenon Falls State Park. Again leave early.Their is also Shakey Lakes park about ! 15 min away from cottage. It is a few small lakes connected together . great for water skying ,if you bring a boat up. you can also rent small fishing boats.4 wheelingTrails are right their ,100's of miles of trails along the riverside and going all the way into Delta countyand much further.Wells state park is 2 miles away. On lake Michigan's shore line. Nice trails and 100's of acres of state park and clean beach.A great little state park and campground is right down the road from cottage, about 5 miles up river. Very desolate , very nice. Nice trails ,good hiking. Check it out.COLD WEATHER. .......Down the road at the state park and camp ground their are miles and miles of groomed cross country ski trails as well as snow shoe trailsTheir is a ski hill , snow boarding hill and tubing hill with SKY LIFTS , in Gladstone about 35 mins from cottage. It is run by the park district in the town of Gladstone.Snowmobile trails are all over the U.P. Just a stone throw away puts you on miles of groomed snowmobile trails and Cottage on cedar has plenty of room to park your trailers.Ice fishing is great !!!
