There is a dining establishment throughout the river serving morning meal, dinner, & lunch. 5 miles from downtown galax where you'll find the Rex Theater for bluegrass music, antique stores, coffee residences, & restaurants. bluegrass music at the Galax Fiddler's Convention the 2nd and third weeks in August. 12 miles from Blue Ridge Music Center. 1 miles from downtown Fries. The New River Trail is just across the river. there you can enjoy cycling, walking, horseback riding along the trail close to the river. The new river trail runs 55 miles from Fries to Pulaski, Va. Level trail going with trestles and a tunnel. Cool shade with a place to cookout. Bedroom has a king size bed, the other bed rooms has a twin bed, there is likewise a futon in the living room that makes a complete size bed. Washer & Dryer included, saterllite tv, pots, dishes & pans. Couch in living space has 2 recliners. Rates: Per night $100, weekend Fri, Sat, Sun $300, per week $450.00, per month $1000 + Virginia Sales Tax.
