Please, at this time I wouild highly suggest to you that if you are looking to come to a remote, lush tropical region with the best snorkeling on the Island, whale watching, about a four minute walk from our front door, come to our home in Kapohos' Vacationland. I know the name sounds kinda hoky, but Vacationland is a most remarkable region, or ocean community. The tidepools have an outreaching volcanic shelf that keeps the pounding surf at bay, while allowing the pacific to fill the tidepools and keeps these pools safe, warm and always a spectacle for our guests.deep and shallow volcanic tidepools offers you and your family days of snorkeling and swimming experiences you will not find anywhere on Island. I would go so far as to say the kapoho tidepools is the best and safest snorkeling area on all the Islands, but that is my opinion.Our home was built in 2008 by my son and I. We do our best to make your experience at our home so memorable. Custom built with open large beam construction, tongue and groove white pine ceilings, ceiling fans in all rooms, outside wrap around walkways offer views that are breathtaking. Including our back walkway (all upstairs), with a nice ocean view.We are 500 feet from the ocean and only a four minute walk to the tidepools from our front door.fully furnished, full open kitchen with all appliances, three bedrooms two bathrooms, lots of view windows of the surrounding neighborhood that is almost all coconut trees, and our homes in the area all have lush tropical landscaping.Vacationland is surrounded by papaya and orchid farms, green mountain, and our lush tropical rainforest covered ocean drives along highway 137.All homes here on craigslist, as you'll notice are beautiful, but notice if you will, all say they are nearby the kapoho tidepools. that's because these tidepools are world class, and there are limited vacation rentals in our neighborhood, as most folks are residents.We do have internet at the house, direct tv w/movie channels, dvd, surround sound in our towering cupala, direct easterly onshore tradewinds that blow direct into the house. A beautiful lanai to sit outside, especially in the evenings while you listen to the pounding surf, the tropical tradewinds and the coqui frogs. Nothing in the world relaxes you like an evening in Kapohos' vacationland.Our nearest town is Pahoa, which is now grown up.
