What is a group ski lease?Mammoth Ski Lease matches up a group of like minded people to share a fully furnished house that has all the necessities from November 15th through May 15th. Certain members are allowed to use the house Anytime while other are allowed Mid-Week only access. This is my 8th year putting together ski houses and I feel so lucky to have this experience! I've met numerous interesting people and shared countless good times on and off the mountain with others in the ski house. Current MSL members range from 25-45 some are corporate executives and others are free-lance artists, but the one thing they have in common is that they're all considerate, positive, and responsible people. These are the only requirements for joining and MSL reserves the right to refuse membership. Which group should I join?Every year there are at least two different houses each with their own vibe. One house is a little more outgoing then the other with a later "quiet time" and is less than .4 miles from the village. The other house is has an earlier "quiet time" and Jacuzzi access. How does it work?You along with a small pre-designated group receive access to a house from Nov 15th-May 15th. There are basic "House Rules" which cover the reservation policy and other general guidelines. Each member utilizes a provided internet calendar to denote arrival/departure date, and if they'll have guests joining them. There is a maximum number of people allowed in the unit on any given night so each member always get a bed and the place doesn't get crowded. Guests are allowed for a fee that covers monthly utilities, TV/internet, snow removal, firewood, and weekly maid service. MSL also institutes the "House Rules" to limit grey areas so that each member knows what their privileges and limitations are going into the season. This reduces the chance for uncomfortable social situations that result as a lack of understanding. However, by experience we know that most will make friends out of their "housemates" and enjoy the company for years to come. How much does it cost? Mid-Week $1,300 Anytime $2,000 Have questions?
