Vacation rental is a 4 room recently renovated cottage in town of Sharon on a culdesac treed road in 2 wooded acres with 200 feet of Housatonic River frontage by trophy size trout stocked area, catch and release. The state stocks the area with trout several times each year, even a Fall stocking. Bass are plentiful in the river also.Canoe, raft and kayak rentals, and fishing guide float rental services are available near by with pick up location about 7 miles downstream..Hiking trails, including the Appellation Trail, are nearby to enjoy.Golf clubs are available for use at neighboring golf courses.Relax along the shore to watch the rentals go by.Volleyball, croquet and boccie games are available for use.Seasonal live theater performances are offered in town. Tanglewood, Summer home of Boston Symphony, is less than an hour away.The one lane West Cornwall covered bridge crosses the river about one mile downstream. That quaint picturesqe area contains a restaurant, gift shops, antiques and a post office.The property manager lives next door to assist if necessary.The paneled bedroom has two twin beds, two armoires, a/c, lamps and tables.The living room has a wood burning stove inserted in the fireplace inlet, couch, two rocking chairs, lamps and tables.A gas wall heater in the kitchen provides necessary heat with an electric base board system for supplemental heating.The kitchen is fully furnished. Dine at the kitchen table or sit in living room while enjoying the river view. A filter and ultra violet system has been installed to assure safe well water.A possible second bedroom is the sun porch. It has a day bed. Currently, it is used for storage, but can be made available if necessary.There are two portable single size beds available also.Maximum of four persons allowed.Rentals are available by day, weekend, week or month April through October.
