Our home is a seven minute walk to the Miller Ferry which is an approx. 14 minute trip to Put-in-Bay. It's an even closer walk to the Catawba Inn (serving food, beer & has an outdoor bar/patio with live home entertainment) and nearby Pebble Beach where you can swim or enjoy the sunup. Also within a brief strolling distance of the cottage: Dairy at the Dock (ice cream & treats), historic Union Chapel, Ottawa County General Store and Museum, Catawba Island Nature Preserve, historical Catawba Cliffs and a gift store. Should you selected to drive, the following are on Catawba and within a brief journey to/fro the home (or some are a long walk): Gem Beach, two public boat launches, Catawba Island Brewery, Brandy's Steakhouse, Mon Ami Winery, Rudder's Deli & Store, Catawba Art Gallery, Catawba Island Club, 2 golf courses, a drive thru beverage, filling station & deli. Outside of Catawba are 2 significant grocery shops, Wal-Mart and a huge selection of restaurants, bars, present stores, etc . Port Clinton "Walleye Capital of the World" is approx. 10 minutes. Marblehead and it's lighthouse is about 15 minutes. Cedar Point is approx 20. Catawba Island is the entrance to the Islands - live like citizens while taking pleasure in all Vactionland's fantastic amenities!
