It is situated in the Pisgah National Forest beside a gentle mountain stream, nestled among lots of rhododendron and mountain flora. There are a wide range of year-round activities, with winter activities including snow-skiing (15 slopes & ten lifts), sledding, ice skating on a 7,000 foot outdoor skating rink, two snowboard parks, and a warm fire to relax by after a day out. There are many other year-round activities as specified below. The house has been decorated by a professional decorator, and designed to handle large groups and multiple families. It is suitable for overnight meetings where presentations can be made using a computer with large screen projection and sound system in the great room (combination living/dining/kitchen), which can seat up to 30 people. If you are looking for a quiet place that is comfortable, situated in a small resort town up in the mountains, and can handle a lot of people, this is a great deal and may very well meet your needs. We also can expand our sleeping capacity considerably through agreements with adjacent houses. Please call with any questions, and we`ll be happy to see if we can accommodate you. There are a lot of sleeping options, so this shouldn`t be a problem, so please note the following:- The Main Floor has:- 1 bedroom with a QUEEN sized bed (5 feet x 6.5 feet) (Sleeps 2)- 1 bedroom with a QUEEN sized bed (5 feet x 6.5 feet) (Sleeps 2)- A full bathroom.- The Second Floor has:- 1 bedroom with a QUEEN sized bed (5 feet x 6.5 feet), with a sleeping loft/attic with three twin mattresses (Room sleeps 2, loft sleeps 3)- 1 bedroom with a QUEEN sized bed (5 feet x 6.5 feet) (Sleeps 2)- 1 bedroom with 3 bunk beds, with a sleeping loft/attic with a queen mattress and 2 twin mattresses (Room sleeps 6, loft sleeps 4)- 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds and a full sized futon (Room sleeps 6)- 2 Full bathrooms that are separated such that 4 people can use one part of those bathrooms privately.**** PLEASE NOTE THE LOFTS: These lofts are sleeping lofts accessed through pull down attic stairs with 4 foot high ceilings. *****Home is priced for 20 people. You can also watch DVD movies, VHS videos, and we have the very popular Wii game console hooked directly to the large screen and sound system. A number of groups recently have enjoyed this very much. You can also bring your own video games and hook to the system, as well as hook an iPod to the system to listen to music and/or watch movies from your own iPod. Anything on your computer you can present on the large screen and through the media system.The kitchen is large and spacious with lots of counter-top space. One person who does a lot of work in kitchens recently said, "I love this kitchen. Look at all the counter space!" A professional cook recently told me it`s the largest kitchen he works in. We have hosted a number of large groups for parties and it has worked very well.The kitchen is also designed so that those working in the kitchen can talk with those sitting in the living room by the fireplace, so they don`t feel left out of conversations.The dining room, which is part of the great room, seats 14 at the dining table, and an additional three at the kitchen island if desired.We have wireless high-speed family friendly Internet service, and you can bring your own computer and connect to the large screen surround sound media system, and project all media from your computer through the projector and speakers.
