We would absolutely return there. - August, 2014 We rented this property for Memorial weekend to celebrate our grandson's 7th birthday. This was the very first beach trip for the grandkids. We had 4 adults, 2 grandkids and our animals in our party. We found the home clean & extremely cool, and was big enough to accomodate us with plenty of space. We loved the fenced yard for the pet dogs. The house is in a nice area of homes and was an extremely practical location for both the beach and back into Galveston. No troubles checking in, and we really enjoyed our stay. My wife and I enjoyed a terrific week in this terrific residence. We flew in from Minnesota so we had actually limited space to bring anything with us ... we didn't need anything; it was all there. We completely delighted in the deck with its 4 overhanging and rocking chairs roof. It drizzled some during our time at Jamaica Beach and we truly took pleasure in being able to sit outdoors in the rockers and check out, listen to the rain and feel the mild sea breeze. Only 8 blocks away the beach is terrific and not almost as crowded as beaches closer to Galveston. I felt and purchased an inexpensive kite like a children flying it on the beach. We did some cooking in your house, consumed at two of the regional dining establishments in the area, and drove the fifteen minute drive into Galveston for a variety of dishes. The hamburgers, at heaven Water Grill 6 blocks away, were terrific. One actually good touch about the house is the owner's individual art work scattered throughout your home. The decor is simple, non-cluttered, and classy. The house was spick-and-span. We felt the house speak relaxation and peace from the minute we stepped in. , if you're looking for a location to pull back to and recharge in this is your location.. If you're looking for enjoyable at the beach you're just a six minute stroll away. If your looking for delights and meals out, you're only fifteen minutes from Galveston and all its attractions: the Pleasure Pier, the Aquarium, the Rain Forrest, the IMAX theater, the Strand (old town Galveston turned into unique shops and dining establishments), Galveston Island State Park, and all the historical homes and buildings of the region. We highly recommend this house and location; it offered us with one of the best vacations we've ever had!
