THERE IS NO ROUGHING IT HERE!This home built in 1877, has recently undergone a complete transformation into a casual & artsy riverside cottage, that is situated at the foot of the Adirondack Mountains.***WITH SEVERAL WINTER HOLIDAY WEEKENDS COMING UP, THIS IS THE "SPECIAL PLACE" TO HANG OUT WITH A FEW FRIENDS; OR SOMEONE SPECIAL!The town of Willsboro, N.Y. straddles the Boquet River, which leads directly out to Lake Champlain at Noblewood Beach.NOBLEWOOD (just two miles from the cottage) consists of a series of wide wooded trails, that lead to the "black sand" beach on the shores of LAKE CHAMPLAIN.It is a great location to PADDLE or KAYAK to in the spring and summer, from just below the falls (in the village), to the mouth of the lake at Noblewood;OR you can SNOW SHOE or CROSS COUNTRY SKI in the winter,when the natural snow has blanketed the area.It is remote, peaceful, and always very relaxing!THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO; OR NOTHING AT ALL!* Just to sit by the bank of windows in the dining room, as you watch the river, transforming itself into a solid sheath of ice in the winter, is a moment that is few and far between in most of our hectic daily lifestyles.* For some real adventure, you may want to take a short ride to LAKE PLACID (the Olympic Venue) and take a ride on a LUGE or BOBSLED!* If you would like try some downhill skiing, you can spend the day at WHITE FACE (just a short trip away).* The AUSABLE FALLS GORGE (15 minute ride from cottage) is open year round, if you would like to see some stunning scenery, and catch a few great photo ops too!* If you feel like catching the ESSEX ~ CHARLOTTE FERRY (just 2 miles away); & making the trip to BURLINGTON for the day; the ride over to CHARLOTTE VERMONT is a pleasure in itself.* While you are in the village of Willsboro, you may want to try out the local gourmet cuisine at 'THE TURTLE ISLAND CAFE" to see what all the raves are about;OR you can catch some of the locals at the SPORTMAN'S DINETTE (right across the river from the cottage). Try some of their home-made specials.
