WILDFIRE RANCH is a lovely equine ranch located in Spring Mills, Pa, just 30 minutes East of Penn State University, State College, Pennsylvania. The ranch is located on 7 acres with awesome views that produce an environment of harmony and tranquility. OVER NIGHT LODGING: The Ponderosa Lodge is a 1,200 sq. ft. log-sided house that sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably. The Ponderosa is complete with 2 (2) bedrooms, full bath, enormous living-room and cooking area with cathedral ceilings and the open floor plan for which log houses are famous. , if you are looking for a 5-star hotel this is not the place for you.. The Ponderosa is best explained as elegant camping: The washroom shower has log-siding around the shower stall that creates an 1800's Old West feel; the kitchen area water takes 5 minutes to obtain scalding hot; and simply outside your front door are 10 steeds at pasture, a comfy campfire pit and a grill for outdoor bbqs. Our guests like our luxuries too: a 55" LCD TV with DVD player and satellite radio; a Texas-sized 12' long wooden breakfast bar; central air conditioning and propane heat, Wi-fi service, cable TV, Washer and Dryer - and most importantly our well-known 1,400 sq. ft. DECK on a 2nd story ignoring breathtaking views. HORSEBACK TRAIL RIDING: Wildfire Ranch is proud to provide the only Guided Public Horseback Trailriding left in all of Central Pennsylvania. Our equines are a mix of Tennessee Walkers and Missouri Fox Trotters, mild enough for beginner riders. We are also the only public trail riding stables to provide our visitors cantering and trotting during their mountain horseback adventures!EXPENSE - $80/person for 21/2 Hours of horseback trail riding experiences (Guided). PONDEROSA LODGE ONLY (NO horseback trail rides) - $200/night for as much as 4 visitors; $25.00 / night for each added guest. When you book your refuge you can have the fulfillment of knowing that your cash is assisting depressed people.
