The resort includes a heated outdoor swimming pool and two jacuzzis, an entertainment room, laundry facility, cordless web, and practical access to downtown and numerous area activities. The resort is just 67 miles from Denver with the appeal of the Continental Divide towering around you. Winter Park is the mountain biking capital of Colorado, with great trails in all directions, plus a fantastic paved trail along the Fraser River for the entire household (that goes on for miles). There are fantastic hiking tracks, as well, for all capabilities. Regional outfitters offer river rafting journeys on the Colorado River for the day. The Winter Park ski area base likewise provides the lengthiest mountain alpine slides in Colorado (2 of them), mini golf, a huge maze for the entire household, climbing up walls, and other activities. Stunning Grand Lake (Colorado's largest real lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks) and Rocky Mountain National Park (with endless wildlife and views) are only a short range away, as is Blackhawk for little stakes betting. The unit sleeps up to 8 and has over 1700 square feet. It includes 3 bedrooms, 21/2 baths, a complete kitchen, living location, dining area, and gas fireplace. The bedroom has a king-size bed, while each of the other two bedroom has 2 single beds, and the living area has a queen pull-out sleeper couch. The Lion's Gate Pines Lodge is at 55 Lion's Gate Road in Winter Park, Colorado 80482, one block off of Highway 40 in downtown Winter Park.
