Your home far from home is at the Lion's Gate Pines Lodge in downtown Winter Park, within strolling distance of numerous restaurants and stores. The resort showcases a heated outdoor swimming pool and 2 hot tubs, a recreation space, laundry center, cordless internet, and convenient access to downtown and lots of area activities. The resort is only 67 miles from Denver with the beauty of the Continental Divide looming around you. Winter Park is the mountain biking capital of Colorado, with terrific tracks in all directions, plus a fantastic paved trail along the Fraser River for the entire household (that goes on for miles). There are fantastic hiking tracks, also, for all abilities. Regional outfitters provide river rafting trips on the Colorado River for the day. The Winter Park ski location base also provides the lengthiest mountain alpine slides in Colorado (two of them), miniature golf, a huge labyrinth for the entire household, climbing up walls, and other activities. Lovely Grand Lake (Colorado's biggest natural lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks) and Rocky Mountain National Park (with limitless wildlife and views) are only a short range away, as is Blackhawk for little stakes gambling. The unit sleeps as much as 8 and has over 1700 square feet. It showcases 3 bed rooms, 21/2 baths, a full kitchen, living location, dining location, and gas fireplace. The master bed room has a king-size bed, while each of the other 2 bed room has 2 single beds, and the living location has a queen pull-out sleeper couch.
