Your home far from home is at the Lion's Gate Pines Lodge in downtown Winter Park, within strolling range of lots of restaurants and stores. The resort includes a heated outdoor pool and 2 jacuzzis, a leisure space, laundry center, cordless internet, and hassle-free access to downtown and many area activities. The resort is only 67 miles from Denver with the charm of the Continental Divide towering around you. Winter season Park is the mountain cycling capital of Colorado, with excellent trails in all directions, plus a remarkable paved trail along the Fraser River for the entire household (that goes on for miles). There are terrific hiking tracks, also, for all abilities. Local outfitters offer river rafting journeys on the Colorado River for the day. The Winter Park ski area base also provides the longest mountain alpine slides in Colorado (two of them), miniature golf, a big maze for the entire family, climbing walls, and other activities. Beautiful Grand Lake (Colorado's biggest natural lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks) and Rocky Mountain National Park (with unlimited wildlife and views) are just a brief range away, as is Blackhawk for small stakes gambling. The system sleeps up to 8 and has over 1700 square feet. It showcases 3 bed rooms, 21/2 baths, a complete cooking area, living location, dining location, and gas fireplace. The bedroom has a king bed, while each of the other 2 bedroom has 2 single beds, and the living location has a queen pull-out sleeper sofa. The Lion's Gate Pines Lodge is at 55 Lion's Gate Road in Winter Park, Colorado 80482, one block off of Highway 40 in downtown Winter Park.
