Your home away from house is at the Lion's Gate Pines Lodge in downtown Winter Park, within strolling distance of many restaurants and stores. The resort showcases a heated outdoor pool and 2 jacuzzis, a recreation space, laundry center, cordless web, and practical access to downtown and many area activities. The resort is only 67 miles from Denver with the charm of the Continental Divide towering around you. Winter season Park is the mountain cycling capital of Colorado, with great tracks in all directions, plus a terrific paved trail along the Fraser River for the entire family (that goes on for miles). There are wonderful hiking trails, too, for all capabilities. Regional outfitters supply river rafting journeys on the Colorado River for the day. The Winter Park ski area base likewise provides the longest mountain alpine slides in Colorado (two of them), mini golf, a huge labyrinth for the entire household, climbing walls, and other activities. Stunning Grand Lake (Colorado's largest natural lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks) and Rocky Mountain National Park (with limitless wildlife and views) are only a brief range away, as is Blackhawk for small stakes wagering. The unit sleeps as much as 8 and hases more than 1700 square feet. It features 3 rooms, 21/2 baths, a complete kitchen area, living location, dining location, and gas fireplace. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, while each of the other 2 room has 2 single beds, and the living area has a queen pull-out sofa bed. The Lion's Gate Pines Lodge is at 55 Lion's Gate Road in Winter Park, Colorado 80482, one block off of Highway 40 in downtown Winter Park.
