I converted this space for a weekend trip for myself. I tried to be as green as possible by recycling and re purposing structure products. A huge 1980s bar, 1950s Metal cooking area, 1930s Ben Hur freezer converted to an island stove plus primarily recycled door, windows, light and bath components. The primary location is appx. 1000 sq ft with 12 foot ceilings. The executive suite has a queen size bed and there are the Pullman Junior suites, They are 60 and 70 sq ft resting alcoves. This 3 bedroom, former small-town hardware establishment, appears like it was discovered on the History Channel TELEVISION show "American Pickers"! This is traditional, antique, retro, an overall guys' location with pictures of motorcycles and automobiles, and a museum-quality beer can collection. Fully-outfitted and reasonably priced. This is the very best of the three airbnb areas I have stayed at to date. Great for bike journeys (with indoor parking for your bikes in a back room off the street), families with children, and couples. The S Tubing put on the corner offered innertubes for an actually slow, Zen-like, 4 mile float trip down the Sugar River which streams close by. S & B likewise has kayaks and canoes for when the water is a little greater. Nearby towns Brodhead and Monroe, WI supplied the additional stuff you could not get at the close-by gas station/mini-mart. Not being an enthusiast, I didn't regular the 2 watering holes in the area, but both looked charming and welcoming. Mark is a first-rate host.
