Your house far from house is at the Lion's Gate Pines Lodge in downtown Winter Park, within strolling distance of lots of restaurants and shops. The resort showcases a heated outdoor pool and 2 jacuzzis, an entertainment space, laundry facility, cordless web, and hassle-free access to downtown and many area activities. The resort is just 67 miles from Denver with the charm of the Continental Divide looming around you. Winter season Park is the mountain biking capital of Colorado, with wonderful trails in all directions, plus a remarkable paved trail along the Fraser River for the whole family (that goes on for miles). There are terrific hiking trails, too, for all capabilities. Local outfitters supply river rafting journeys on the Colorado River for the day. The Winter Park ski location base likewise provides the longest mountain alpine slides in Colorado (two of them), mini golf, a big labyrinth for the entire household, climbing walls, and other activities. Stunning Grand Lake (Colorado's largest natural lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks) and Rocky Mountain National Park (with unlimited wildlife and views) are only a short range away, as is Blackhawk for little stakes betting. The system sleeps up to 8 and has more than 1700 square feet. It showcases 3 rooms, 21/2 baths, a complete kitchen, living area, dining area, and gas fireplace. The bedroom has a king bed, while each of the other 2 bed room has two single beds, and the living area has a queen pull-out sofa bed.
