The main house is two levels and has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, toaster-oven and all dishes and utensils. Watch the sunset from either the west facing deck or the screened sun porch. There are three queen size beds in the house which can sleep 6. Amenities include: flat screen tv, carport, wood burning fireplace, washer/dryer, and central ac/heat.The guest house has one-bedroom, fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher), flat screen tv, washer/dryer, queen size bed, sleeper sofa, and private back yard. The houses are 3 block from the central town plaza where most festivals and activities are held. Both are no smoking/no pets, 3 month minimum. Guest house: $450.Both are located in Ajo, AZ which is 2 hours south of Phoenix and 2 hours west of Tucson. It is only 32 miles from Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and 90 minutes from Rocky Point, Mexico (Arizona's beach town). It is surrounded by pristine Sonoran desert protected by the Bureau of Land Management and is adjacent to the Cabeza Prieta Wildlife Refuge. Ajo is a historic mining town that has a winter population of 10,000. There is a vibrant art scene, lots of events and classes designed for winter visitors, and numerous recreational activities at your doorstep (hiking, camping, off-roading, golfing, excellent bird watching, horseback riding, archeological digs, and firing range). Rocky Point is an easy drive away and offers miles of white sandy beaches, shopping, excellent Mexican cuisine, deep sea fishing, water sports, El Pinacate Nat'l Park (volcanoes), and basic to luxurious accommodations all at bargain rates.Ajo is also adjacent to the second largest Native American reservation in the US: the Tohono O'odom.
