The lake is shallow and sandy providing one of the warmest beaches on Lake Tahoe. South Lake Tahoe has an incredible July 4th fireworks display -- voted one of the 5 best in the USA by the American Pyrotechnics Association, and the Best Fireworks Show West of the Mississippi River. Minutes walk to several good restaurants. Under two miles to casinos. From the beach you can see 3 fireworks. Bring chairs/blankets and stake out your spot on the beach early.
