A fully equipped 500 sq ft cabin is situated on 40 acres of an eco farm surrounded by national forest. It is close to Taos (11 miles) and the Taos Ski Valley and Red River (30 minutes). is a great space to kick back in, write, paint or take walks, fish or go skiing. It is close to hiking and fishing and there is a play ground outside. Our cabins are close to natural hot springs and the Hondo river that is swimmable in the summer, For the keen eyes, the surrounding hills have Indian pottery charts hidden under layers of dirt and sometimes popping up without effort. During summer we have fresh, organic vegetables available to guests and during late summer and fall there are plenty of apples to pick and in case of chickens that lay we provide eggs to our renters. Aldous Huxley and D.H. Lawrence lived and wrote in these historical cabins. Part of an eco-lodge, the cottage has a wood fire stove, queen bed and a full sleeper sofa and is fully-furnished with pots, pans, clean linens and down comforter. Gourmet breakfasts and dinners are available at extra charge beginning in mid April and a masseuse, baby sitting and horse trail rides are available by appointment. We are located in the country side and city slickers may be dismayed by the lack of street lights and the quietude at night. Our internet connection is not always reliable, it gets spotty during rain storms and snow falls. Depending on your cell phone provided your might have to drive to the post office or up the road to get connection. We are not a motel or hotel, our place is rustic. It is, however, a perfect place for creative individuals who desire to take a break from the hustle and bustle of civilization. This is also an introduction to camping or glamping for families who want a degree of comfort before venturing out in the wild. For city children, this is a great place to experience country living and getting a short wean from TV and computer games. Don't panic, Taos is a short drive away! 99/nightly.
