The resort is approximately 4,000 feet in elevation on the western side of the Cascade Mountain range. Surrounded by 1.6 million acres of Deschutes National Forest. The surrounding wilderness areas offer endless opportunity for mountain biking including the 36 miles of biking trails located within the resort itself, hiking, world-class skiing, snowboarding, x-country skiing, dog-sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, fly fishing, big game hunting and much more. Nearby are many high lakes many of which make a nice day hike. Don't forget to bring your lunch because you will want to just relax near one of the lakes accessible by foot only and view one of the many snow capped mountains.From our home here you can enjoy all the beauty of nature without leaving the comforts of home.
