This little cinder block cabin is about 550 sq ft. It has one bedroom, one bath with a shower, sink and toilet. Full kitchen. It has a garage, an outside tool shed, a bunkhouse and a kennel. It has a new septic system. It is directly on the water and on good road. It is hooked up to LP for heat. Tank is owned. Security system to call your phone if the heat goes out. The furnace and pressure tank are less then 10 years old. Has its own well. Washer, dryer and furnace are in the garage. It can sell furnished. We have put a lot of work into making this a safe, functional family place. These cabins almost never go on the market. All that aside, this is a cute little place that we have slept 10 people in. We have kayaked to it from Buncombe Road in Wisconsin, north of Galena (a full day's journey.) We walk to the bottom of the chair lift at Chestnut in the summer, ride to the top and enjoy the Alpine slide and restaurant. In the winter, we drive over to the chairlift to go skiing or snowboarding. Fish anytime. We go to lunch and shopping in Galena about 6 miles away. A few years ago there was a torrential rain that pushed the railroad gravel into the river out front of our cabin. That means a shallow gravel bottom area for safe exploration by kids and dogs. It is deep enough for kayaks. There is a co-ownership in a neighborhood dredge. There is a hard-gravel boat ramp and a cement pier. We built a sand beach for the kayaks. There is a deep channel about 100' out for boat traffic to the main Mississippi channel. It is about 1/4 acre. It is next to the railroad crossing on South River Road. It is in the flood plain, but the only known water inside was in 2001 (1inch on kitchen floor). Clean-up was easy in this cinder block cabin that's not going anywhere. It is on Corps of Eng land, so lease is an affordable $1800/yr. Taxes $600. This is not fancy, but sure is fun. Call or text me for an appointment to see. Serious inquiries only, please.
