CLIPP'S MILLA Restored 19th Century Log Cabin and 1924 Grain Mill in Sharpsburg, MDClipp's Mill was built in 1924 to grind feed for townspeople and farmers in the area. It was powered by a steam engine and then by electricity. It was last used in the late 1960s. When the Mill was built, it incorporated an older log structure dating from the 19th century. This log building was built for industrial purposes, and it became the office for the 1924 mill. We have restored the log building as a two-bedroom cabin (which sleeps five).The Mill is within cannon range of Antietam Battlefield National Historical Park, and a short drive from the C canal, Harpers Ferry, Shepherdstown, WV, and the Appalachian Trail. There area is wonderful cycling country, or you can go out on the water with the canoe that is in the cellar -- or just relax and do nothing.
